Unique Category features

For managing a large number of contacts, Category feature of Ripplex is very useful. It has many interesting and unique features that lets you organize your friends easily and with full flexibility

Categorize your friends in various private categories as you wish, for example, work, friends, family, neighbors etc. A friend can belong to multiple categories (e.g. work and friends). The management of the address book becomes easier when you have most of your friends categories in various private categories.

Shared Categories in Ripplex help you maintain a contact list and share it with all the members of that Shared Category. For example, create a Shared Category for a club that you are member of. If the club members correspond to each other by email, share only names and email addresses. All the members of this club, who are linked with you will see the list of names and their emails as a shared category in their Ripplex. If any information changes, a member linked with you (the owner of the shared category) changes it in his Ripplex and it is automatically updated for all those who are seeing this category!

When a list is maintained and distributed among a wide group in a conventional way, one needs to decide how much personal information can be shared by the owner / organizer of that organization/company. If you share too much than it compromises privacy and if not, it needs to be augmented by other way of getting additional information when needed. With Ripplex, the owner of group, only needs to share minimum information needed. After that each member not only gets the updated minimum set of information but can also make links and share more information with people as they choose.

When you link with an owner of a shared category, you are indirectly linked with every member of the category linked with the owner. This makes it easier for you to establish links with other members of this category and start sharing contact information with them - some by the disclosure settings checked for the entire category and other on an individual basis, as you wish!
